At the end of the Vietnam War, roughly 2,500 Americans were considered MIA. Among verified American POWs, over 600 men would, at one time, be held at Hoa Lo (Hanoi Hilton).
The 468 names in this display are American citizens who were imprisoned there. This is a living memorial and the American Heritage Museum is continually gathering additional names and stories
of Hanoi Hilton prisoners.
